homas A. Stockton
   
CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors

Tom Stockton was one of the three original founders of CMI when it was established in 1985. He has been President since 1987 and CEO since 1997. Upon honorable discharge from the US Navy in 1967, he attended Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Hartford, Connecticut and later Empire State College in New Paltz, New York. He began his career in the cable television industry in 1971 as a sales executive for Dolphin Communications. Mr. Stockton has been in active management in the collection business for the past 21 years. He is a certified collector and holds a Scholar in Collection Business Management degree from American Collectors Association. He is a 1998 recipient of the Beacon Award for outstanding support and leadership in helping advance ACA's federal legislative initiatives. As President and CEO, Mr. Stockton continues in active day-to-day management of The CMI Group.


Carrie Finney
    Chief Financial Officer

Carrie Finney is the Chief Financial Officer for The CMI Group. Carrie began her career with CMI in 1998 as Accounting Manager and over the years she has held the position of Controller, Vice President of Finance, and as of 2008 she was promoted to CFO. Carrie came to CMI with 7 years of corporate accounting experience. She received her bachelors of science degree from the University of Texas at Dallas and is a Certified Public Accountant.


Linda Wright
   
Vice President of Human Resources

In her current role she helps manage and assists in human resource issues, employee relations, recruiting, benefits, payroll and the administrative functions.  Ms. Wright began her career with The CMI Group nearly 14 years ago as a collector and Supervisor for the call center while completing her degree at the University of Texas in Arlington.  With her customer service attitude, leadership abilities and collections knowledge, she was later promoted to Customer Care Manager overseeing the Data Entry and Customer Service Group for two years.  Once the opportunity to move into Human Resources presented itself, she jumped into the role of corporate recruiter and HR generalist for three years, later Director and most recently as Vice President.  Her experience of having worked either in or directly with all areas of the company gives Ms. Wright a unique insight into the hiring needs and challenges each manager faces daily.


Fred Gerber
    Vice President of Client Relations

Fred Gerber works with our clients in a variety of areas from Client Satisfaction and Sales to IT solutions. Fred comes to The CMI Group with a vast background in Telecommunications Billing and Collections. Prior to joining CMI, Fred worked with CSG Systems for over 10 years in the Financial Reporting and Software Implementation areas. Fred also has 8 years experience with Telecommunications Collections Companies in roles varying from operations to national sales management. All totaled, Fred has over 18 years experience in Telecommunications. Fred holds a Bachelors in Finance from the University of Nebraska and a Certificate in Telecommunications Billing and Customer Care from Rutgers University.


Cindi Ridgeway
    Director of Information Technology

Cindi Ridgeway is the Director of Information Technology. She joined CMI as a Senior Developer in 1999. She has over 15 years of Information Systems experience in the Title Insurance, Property Records, and Collections industries. Two years after joining the Development Team, Cindi was promoted to a Team Leader position, and shortly thereafter to Assistant Director of IT - Development. After serving in that role for 3 years, she took on the tasks of Director. With several IBM Certifications, she is dedicated to keeping CMI's systems running smoothly and moving into the future.



Steve Brockett
    Director of Operations

Steve Brockett, Director of Operations, is responsible for both the Call Center and Client Services teams. Steve has several years experience in Call Center Operations and Customer Service in the Cable Television industry. Prior to joining CMI in May of 2008, Steve worked for Time-Warner Cable and Comcast in Call Center/Customer Service positions. Steve graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.



James Hawkins
    Director of Call Center & Collections

As the Director of Call Center & Collections, James Hawkins brings twenty years of operational experience to CMI. Prior to joining the CMI Team, he served as the Chief Operations Officer at Recovery Services of America. As the COO he was responsible for all regional operations and corporate recoveries. Before joining RSA, James led Southwest Credit Systems as the Operations Manager among other roles during his thirteen-year tenure. His success is attributed to research, employee development, training programs, organizational skills, and team coordination.

James devotes a large portion of his personal time and energy to civic and community affairs. He has been active member of the Boy Scouts of America since childhood and currently serves as the Cub Master for his ten year old sons' Cub Scout pack James also serves on the Board of Directors for Bea's Kids, a nonprofit organization providing after school programs and activities for children of indigent families.



Eric Fooks
    Manager of Client Services

Eric is Manager of Client Services. In this role, Eric focuses on post sale client needs, including client projects, and file submission management. He brings over 10 years customer service experience working in the Marketing, Insurance, and Telecommunication industries. He also brings solid project management experience managing multi million dollar projects in assets and resources. Eric’s Bachelors Degree course work is in Management Information System, with a minor in International Management.



Chris Meier
    Corporate Attorney

Chris Meier acts as General Counsel to the CMI Group. He joined the company in 2008 after working for an insurance defense firm, which specialized in defending collection agencies against FDCPA and FCRA lawsuits. Chris graduated from the University of Arkansas with the distinction of Magna Cum Laude and earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. While attending SMU, Chris competed in several national moot court competitions, eventually earning membership into the Order of the Barristers.



Nelson Wilson
    Training Manager & Compliance Coordinator

Nelson Wilson is the Training Manager & Compliance Coordinator. In this role, he leverages 6 years of experience with The CMI Group and 16 years of collection / customer service experience from Dun & Bradstreet RMS. While with D&B, Mr. Wilson won numerous customer service awards and managed D&B's Dallas Customer Care office. He was heavily involved in training both collectors and customer service representatives for handling the accounts of D&B’s major tier client accounts.
