CMI's Vendor Diversity Program
Our Vendor Diversity Program is an initiative seeking to promote
the development of small, minority, veteran, service disabled veteran,
and women-owned businesses, with the goal of empowering these organizations
to be better able to compete with other established companies for
supplier/vendor relationship opportunities with The CMI Group.
What qualifies a business as
a minority, women, veteran, service-disabled veteran or disadvantaged
small business?
The CMI Group considers a business to qualify as minority or women-owned
if it is at least 51% owned by one or more women or minority groups.
Any supplier selected to compete for a contract may be required
to submit appropriate certification/verification.
Does The CMI Group offer special terms or arrangements to small businesses or minority, veteran, service-disabled or women-owned businesses?
small business?
The CMI Group promotes fair purchasing practices and equitable arrangements for all suppliers.
Diverse businesses interested in serving The CMI Group will be considered via our standard supplier
selection process. Diverse businesses which are evaluated as equal or greater than other suppliers
in all evaluation criteria such as price, quality and service, and which are certified as a diverse vendor,
will be given priority in the selection process.
How can businesses participate in the The CMI Group Supplier Diversity Program?
Before we evaluate any company as a potential supplier, we gather information about the types of products and services the company provides.
The CMI Group reserves the right to select and negotiate with those suppliers it deems qualified for competitive bidding and to terminate negotiations without incurring any liability. The CMI Group reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received.
