The CMI Group Hosts Company Wide Donation Drive for Local Charities

Plano, TX: During the holiday months of 2018, The CMI Group (CMI) organized events for our Texas-based facilities, partnering with the Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County (CACDC), Dallas Children's Advocacy Center (DCAC) Wish-List Adoption Drive, and Toys for Tots for our Rochester, Minnesota-based facility.

This project focused on fulfilling the holiday needs and wishes of children who are less fortunate or have been victims of sexual or physical abuse.

“We are extremely happy to have been able to spread holiday cheer this year by getting involved with each of these amazing organizations. Outreach is highly important to us here at CMI, no matter where we are physically located. That feeling of importance is evident in the generosity our employees have shown during this project,” said Anna Garcia, Corporate Recruiter.

Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County

The CACDC and DCAC is committed to a multidisciplinary response to child sexual abuse. Children who grow up in violent homes are six times more likely to commit suicide, 24 times more likely to commit sexual assault crimes, 74 more likely to commit crimes against persons, and 50 times more likely to abuse drugs or alcohol. Established in 1997, The CACDC coordinates with law enforcement, child protective services, and medical and mental health professionals to help children and their non-offending family members seek justice and find healing. Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots provides a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas through the collection and distribution of unwrapped toys. Established in 1947, Toys for Tots distributes an average of 18 million toys to seven million less fortunate children annually. (www.toysfortots.org)
